Our History
Over 40 years ago, Galen Shelly, founder of Shelly Oil started the tradition of providing quality heating oil and furnace repair service for neighbors in Elizabethtown, Hershey and surrounding communities. As the business grew, the Lauver family assisted Mr. Shelly and ultimately took full responsibility for carrying on the Shelly Oil tradition and reputation by purchasing the company in January 1993.
The oil delivery business first expanded to offer full service for oil heat equipment. Shelly Oil responded again to customer requests by expanding service to include air conditioning, heat pumps, and gas furnaces.
Shelly Oil continues to grow with new customers and additional personnel to meet customer needs.
To better service our customers, Shelly Oil moved its office in November 2009 to our new permanent location at 325 Hershey Road in Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania.
Shelly Oil has a strong focus on community involvement, including being active members of the Elizabethtown and Mt. Joy Chambers of Commerce as well as supporting several community events and fundraisers.
