Why a Polar Bear?
In 2006, the bear first appeared in connection with Shelly Oil Co. A polar bear was chosen as the official mascot of Shelly Oil Co. because a polar bear endures and thrives in the harshest environment.
Our mascot, “Sheldon” as he came to be known was the first in the family of Shelly bears. Sheldon wears a red t-shirt.
In 2007, “Shelly” bear joined Sheldon. Shelly wears a pink dress with our official logo on the front.
In 2008, “Shelby” the younger bear with a blue t-shirt joined the bear family. “Shivers”, the penguin, friend of the bear family came to our community in 2009. “Shivers” has a red hat and an orange scarf with the familiar Shelly Oil logo.
We feel proud of the appeal our plush Shelly Oil collectible bears have with our customers. We are happy to have you wave at Sheldon bear when you see him passing on the side of our delivery truck or service van as we work to keep you comfortable during the cold, harsh winter or through the sweltering summer heat.
